The Chief

I'm Jim, and I spent twenty years in the Navy before I spent any
serious time in a shop.

These days I build in hardwood out of my workshop in Lee's Summit — cutting
boards, serving trays, shelves, shadowboxes, whatever the wood seems to want to
be that month. Some of it goes to family. Some of it goes to neighbors. Some of
it just sits on the bench until I decide it's finished.

This page is the log. Every piece I finish gets an entry and a number, because
a Chief numbers things. If you want to say something about one of them, the
comment box at the bottom of each entry is open.
